Very Rare Pose Vintage Johnny Unitas Hand Signed B&W 13x16 Framed Photo w/LOA. The Pose is Very Rare.

I have not found another like it. Johnny Unitas was a famous American football quarterback. Who played in the National Football League. (NFL) for 18 seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Colts.

Following a career that spanned from 1956 to 1973, he has been consistently listed as one of the greatest NFL players of all. He died on September 11, 2002, at age 69. He did provide a letter of authenticity confirming that the signature of Johnny Unitas is genuine.

My brother personally knew Mr. Unitas and obtained his autograph. I kept This hanging on a wall in my office. The photo or print and frame are in very good condition. I have not been able to actually date when the photo may have been taken, and my brother did not recall. I found similar photos which appear to have trees in the background, but the uniform does not match. I believe this photo may have been taken prior to Mr. Unitas signing with the Baltimore Colts or the very early years with that team. There is no number on his jersey sleeve or shoulder. The three strips on the upper arm of his jersey also do not match later photos with the Colts (on the jersey shoulder).

His socks do not cover his calves in the manner his Colts photos show. His pants don't have the strip down the outer side, or the same belt as the Colts had.

His cleats appear different than in other photos. His hair is also different. This appears to have been a very early image of Mr. My wife tells me she would not know what to do with them when I kick-the-bucket.
